North Platte Nebraska

was a very famous spot in the days of World War II, home to the North Platte Canteen, a place where men and women who worked in the armed forces would come and receive meals and beverages, and homemade goodies from the grateful townsfolk. Today North Platte apartment-ites can remember those days by taking a visit to the Lincoln County History Museum, as well as also getting to walk through an authentic reproduction of how the town used to look back in its earliest days. Another famous historical marker in the town is the Buffalo Bill Ranch Historical Site, which features a home owned by the famous cowboy Buffalo Bill Cody, as well as exhibits about the famous man. The town is also home to a huge celebration once a year known as Nebraskaland Days, where hundreds of thousands of people come by for days full of concerts, rodeos, carnivals, and all kinds of fun.

Though its roots are deeply planted, there's still plenty of fun to be had for even the hippest of young North Platte apartment-ites.
